The Concertmaster

Marion Stratton has been Concertmaster since the orchestra's first rehearsal in Batawa in 1960. During these years she has taught violin and viola to students in the Quinte region, been Concertmaster of the Northumberland Symphony Orchestra and the Eastern Ontario Concert Orchestra, and principal second violinist with the Kingston Symphony. Her chamber groups have provided music for many occasions in the Quinte area.

The Quinte Symphony combines professional and amateur musicians from the greater Quinte area whose commitment and dedication ensure the continuing success of the orchestra. Close to 45 musicians, of all ages, join to continue the tradition of performing a wide variety of classical, modern and Broadway favourites to music lovers in Quinte.
